DIY: Mason Jar Room Freshener
Monday, February 1, 2016
I don't know about you, but I think that weekend just moved wayyyyy too fast!
Being the die hard "DIY junkie" that I am, I'm always on the hunt for some fun and easy projects that actually look nice when you finish them. If you remember this blog post from last week, I included some really neat DIY mason jar room air fresheners.
I knew I couldn't wait too long to give this little baby a shot, so I created one of the scents today. Ok, maybe not entirely according to the original recipe, but I winged it and I have to say, not only did it turn out super cute, I actually smell it when I walk by my kitchen!
My son even commented "Mom, are you cutting limes? because I smell them"
Best. Compliment. Ever.
I used items that I already had on hand from my DIY Lime Salt Scrub, but you could totally customize this recipe and fill your jars with so many other highly scented fruits and herbs.
Super simple: cut up the limes and place in a mason jar filled with water. Add fresh mint and a few drops of coconut extract....................heaven!
