Since we're all friends here, I feel very comfortable telling you "if loving this Found Vintage Tulip Crate is wrong, then I don't want to be right". (<--------admit it, you just sang the tune in your head when your read that)
Holy tulip crate! I'm not even kidding.....you should have seen how big my eyes grew when my daughter carried in the humongous box from the front porch. So I may or may not always look at product dimensions and sometimes it's a problem, but not today. This crate is HUGE and I love it!
I have to be honest with you, when I first saw the size of the crate, I was a little intimidated by it. All I could think was "this thing is the size of my coffee table".
So I went with my initial thought of "coffee table".......after all, it looks like a little table, Heck! I'll style it for Fall as a table.
I wanted to stick to a neutral rustic theme so I started placing Fall items on the crate as though it were a serving tray. Lavender is always a Fall staple and the farmhouse mason jars filled with wheat add texture to the overall design.
I don't know about you, but cloth napkins aren't just for dinner in my home. I use a variety of fun farmhouse style napkins in most of my vignettes. I drape them over the sides of trays like shown here, or I use them to cover dishes or bowls that I use to stack up other things for height.
Remember the ticking fabric I used in last week's design series? Yep, you guessed it! Those are coffee mugs hiding under the dairy vases....(I'm sneaky that way)
In my vocabulary the words "rustic wood & chicken wire" are my love language. This piece truly looks like it was found in a one hundred year old rustic old barn that sat on fifty acres.
The character just blows me away! Each time I look at it, I see something new that makes me fall in love with it all over again. I adore how the paint is aged and fading away, how the wood is tattered and the nails are rusty. These are the qualities of found vintage pieces that allow me to breathe. I always say "the more worn & old looking, the better".
A pumpkin nestled on moss in a birds nest.......scattered Indian corn and jumbo acorns. Yes please! Fall is in full swing in my casa!
I'd be pulling your leg if I told you that I couldn't spend all day styling this gorgeous Found Vintage Tulip Crate. It's everything I hoped it would be and more!
I'm already thinking of fun ways that I can style it for the upcoming Holidays.
Can you imagine this beauty under a scattering of vintage ornaments, a rustic lantern and an antique tabletop Christmas tree? Ohhhh M Gee!
